Tom Taylor, CPA/PFS     

Tom leads our individual and business tax practice.  Tom began his career as an auditor with the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young LLP in 1993. Tom sharpened his finance and accounting skills as an Investment Banking analyst at Legg Mason in the mid '90s.  He founded Chesapeake Financial Advisors, our sister company and fee-only financial planning firm and investment advisory firm.

Tom earned double degrees in Accounting and Finance from Mount St. Mary's University in 1993 and is an honors graduate of Calvert Hall College High School in Towson, MD.  He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1996 and received his Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation from the AICPA in 2009.  The PFS credential is granted exclusively to CPAs with considerable personal financial planning experience that have demonstrated a high level of skill and knowledge.

Tom is active in a number of professional organizations including the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, past-president of the Calvert Hall Alumni Association, a member of the Towson Elks Club and Towson Chamber of Commerce. Tom treats every client with respect and integrity. He provides independent financial analysis in addition to tax and accounting services.
