Tom Taylor, CPA/PFS 
Tom leads our individual and business tax practice. Tom began his career as an auditor with the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young LLP in 1993. Tom sharpened his finance and accounting skills as an Investment Banking analyst at Legg Mason in the mid '90s. He founded Chesapeake Financial Advisors, our sister company and fee-only financial planning firm and investment advisory firm.
Tom earned double degrees in Accounting and Finance from Mount St. Mary's University in 1993 and is an honors graduate of Calvert Hall College High School in Towson, MD. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1996 and received his Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation from the AICPA in 2009. Tom is active in a number of professional organizations including the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, immediate past-president of the Calvert Hall Alumni Association, a member of the Towson Elks Club and Towson Chamber of Commerce. He was recently elected to the Board of One Less Car, a bicycle advocacy organization in Maryland. Tom also serves on the Finance Committee for Ascension Church in Towson, MD. Tom treats every client with respect and integrity. He provides independent financial analysis in addition to tax and accounting services.

Tom & Amy enjoy spending time with their four children, attending church and playing golf. They recently adopted an 8 month old yellow lab from the Harford County Humane Society.
Amy Taylor, CPA
Amy leads our business services practice which includes accounting and bookkeeping services, QuickBooks setup and training and payroll processing services. Amy began her career as an auditor with the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young LLP in 1995.Amy rose quickly through the ranks attaining the level of Senior Manager in the highly regarded Technology Communications and Entertainment Group.In 2004, Amy was a finalist for the Rosemarie Meshi Award honoring employees of Ernst & Young that promote excellence in women in the workplace.
Amy earned a degree in Accounting from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX in 1995 and is a graduate of Dulaney High School in Timonium, MD. She became a Certified Public Accountant in 1998.
Amy is an active member of many professional and community organizations and holds leadership positions with The Perry Hall Children’s Center Cooperative Preschool and as the Director of the Ascension Lutheran Church Vacation Bible School.
Tom and Amy founded Taylor & Company because they believe there is a need for younger CPAs with business experience to address the growing needs of Generations X & Y, the internet consumer and entrepreneurs. They believe that their combined knowledge and experience will achieve remarkable results for all of their clients while applying technology to be at the forefront of the profession.
